The Sweetest Place on Earth

I'm was feeling Hershey Park Happy during those last days of summer. Hershey Park will always be the best amusement park. Where else can you see life-size candy bars dancing around while riding on roller coasters?

I hadn't been to Hersheypark (over the summer) in 3 years and was delighted to find that they now have 11 roller coasters and a new boardwalk full of water rides right in the park. I knew we were in for a good day when the parking attendent greeted us with, "Have a sweet day." Thanks. We will.

As always, the Chocolate World Ride was a great ending to an amazing day. Here is where you learn how the chocolate is made and leave with free piece of chocolate. Sweet.

Candylane

Hershey Candylane CostumesHershey Park at Christmas time is the greatest! They have millions of lights and lots of chocolate-y fun. I can't believe they started charging for entrance. We used to go for free:( But now I guess you can ride the rides without charge. We rode the Reeses Cup Challenge a zillion times and I pretty much suck at it. That one is shooting a laser gun at targets while zooming through the ride.

The whole town smells like chocolate, and I love it. If you have not gone before, you must next year, even if you have to travel miles to get to PA. As far as amusement parks go, it is my favorite one I've ever been to. Nothing can compare.

kissablesThe free candy they gave out after the chocolate ride this year, though, was those darn Kissables. They are too much candy-coating and not enough chocolate. Where's the good stuff?

Hershey Park Happy

hershey park Yay! I got to go Hershey Park on Monday with a few friends from Mirable Inventu. It was so fun, even though it rained. Donna (who I am extraordinarily envious of for being a contestant on the Price is Right with the legendary Mr. Bob Barker) got us free tickets and Hannah let us stay at her house. The photos I stole from Emily's facebook album.

Hershey RideI haven't been to Hershey in such a long time. They changed the Chocolate World ride around, but they still give out free candy at the end! My three favorite roller coasters are the Great Bear, The Storm Runner, and The Lightning Racer. Hershey Park is such a great place, it's a shame they exported the factory out of PA and now employ impoverished workers in Mexico to make their chocolate for them.
